Everyone in my family LOVES Lee's Steaks. He grills and then smokes them with Kiawe wood and they are just so yummy. It takes him aobut 2 hours to cook them and so I dont get him to do it very often. But the Sisters were coming over for dinner so he agreed:-D I was so hungry and was planning all the yummy leftover ideas. We always make plenty so that I can have dinner set for the next couple of days. WELL...as he was slicing the steaks for serving, Kayla was nudging her nose up to the cutting boardand Lee turned to scold her and somehow the cutting board tipped and STEAK FLEW EVERYWHERE!!! I screamed and Lee just stood there in shock while Kayla ran under the table (cause she knew she was in big trouble). Luckily he had only cut up two of the steaks but STILL...what a waste of delicious food:-( Im still pouting about it as I was craving steak quesadillas today. But all that matters is that there was enough to feed the four of us (yes the steaks are that huge).
I bought the brownie maker thing that you see on TV...where you insert a divider and it bakes each brownie individually and they came out SOOOOO good. As you can see in the picture, you put the pan on a stand and the base lifts up and you can easiily acces your perfectly sliced brownies. The pan is smaller than a 13x9 but you use that size mix so that they are thick and chewy and gooey just the way I like them (I could have left them in 5 more minutes though). Im gonna try cookie bars or rice krispees next! I didnt order it online, I got it at BESTBUY of all places and it was the best $24.95 I've spne in a long time:-D I sent most of it home with the Sisters but kept a few for us!
Sister Ochiai was Lee's first missionary when she was a Greenie and now she is serving her last 6 week transfer in our ward. I can't believe how fast time flew and how much she has grown and changed over the past year. She has a special place in our hearts and she promises to come visit us when she returns with her parents later this year. Sister Kaufusi is about 6 months out and she is adorable. So talkative and funny and she is going to be a great addition to our ward! Love you Sisters and thank you for always bringing such a warm and loving spirit into our home!!!
