Lee always watches the "fastestcars in the world" documentaries on TV and they are always filmed at the Bonneveille Salt Flats. So as we were driving to Wendover (for a little early Anniversary celebration) we pulled over and took a look.
There was something going on because we saw all these campers and cars down the way but couldn't figure out how to get to where they were (especially in a rental car). But Lee was excited to finally see the place where he DREAMS of racing a car one day.
It totally looks like sand:-) And it goes on and on forever.
As you can tell it was REALLY bright out and HOT.
I feel like such a TOURIST:-)
It is very beautiful though and worth the 20 minute stop!
