Ok...kind of behind here but I really wanted to tell you about my day on Day 6. Im just doing it a few days late:P So Day 6 was Tuesday, November 23rd and it was a very WONDERFUL day with an interesting ending!
Tuesday morning I got up at 4:30am to get ready for my first day as a Temple Worker on the first day it was open in almost 2 years!!! It was MARVELOUS and all I an say is THIS IS WHERE I BELONG. I never felt so happy, loved, accepted, welcomed and peaceful all at the same time and surrounded by strangers (well I knew a few people)! I didn't want my shift to end and I can't wait until next Tuesday.
My best friend, Des, came down for a session and it was her Birthday:) We got to spend a little bit of time together in the Temple and then went to lunch to celebrate our Birthdays. Had a wonderful lunch and she gave me one of the most thoughtful gifts I have ever received (on HER Birthday)...she made me the most beautiful scrapbook for Lee, Savannah and I. Gorgeous layouts and themes and all I have to do is fill in some dates and the pictures. She knows I am not very creative but love the idea of scrapbooks...so she did it for me. She also gave me a second mini scrapbook that spells out Our Story and has space for pictures of our love story:) I was so touched and I can't even imagine how long it took her to do all of this. With a job and two kids!!! I just love her to pieces and I wish she didn't live all the way in Pearl City:(
The rest of the day was filled with normal life stuff ( helping Savannah with homework, go to work, run errands) and was just finishing dinner when I heard Kayla chewing on something. This is a normal sound in my house as she chews her nails (like her Mommy and Daddy both do) as well as several toys. But when I looked over at her, she had a prescription bottle that was already punctured by her killer teeth:( I grabbed the bottle and saw it was a friends anxiety medication that Kayla had dug out of her purse!!! I called the Vet and they said to bring her in ASAP. I was SO lucky that it was only 7pm and I could make it ther before they close. They are on call 24 hours but its a hefty charge to bring a vet in after hours. I sound calm now ut I was pretty panicked...I kept praying PLEASE dont let my dog die..I really couldn't handle that right now! Anywho...after a quick prayer I felt better. So we made it down there and they gave her some medicine to make her throw it all up. The Vet came out and asked what color the pills were. I said, Blue-ish green I think...she said we didn't see any pills but we saw a lot of food...dog food, ramen noodles, mystery white strips (probably fruit by the foot paper), ham and cheeses hot pockets OH and a CRAYON. But the ramen noodles were a blue-ish color so the pills have dissolved already. I had forgotten about the pills and thingking how in the WORLD did she eat all that food...I DONT GIVE HER HUMAN FOOD....oh that's right, I have a 2 1/2 year old living in my house that likes to feed my dog and a naughty dog that likes to steal food from babies!!! So since the pills had dissolved, they had to give her some carbon liquid that did SOMETHING...not sure what...and then I said, hey while she's in there can you express her anal glands (yes its gross...but it needs to be done)? LOL..so $284 later I had a happy and sedated puppy. She is usually very anxious and annoying on car rides...but the car ride home was the calmest we ever had!
That was my day in a nutshell...I am very grateful for a beautiful day and for a healthy puppy to boot:)

Mibi...that was quite the day you had. It seems that the older we get the more hectic things become! I will tell Paula "hello" from you, and we do have a very special friendship.
Also, I can't wait for you to spend time with N8, Tasha, and Andrea. They are all so wonderful and that was typical of Andrea to prepare that dinner for me.
I also hope we can spend some time with Lee and get to know him. It is sad that none of the spouses know each other. I guess I'll have to start saving my money so we can all come to Hawaii!!
